I read the prayer in it's entirety, and am wondering about the "yellow being more mellow?" and JUST the fact that he used "brown", "yellow", and "red" to describe skin tones and cultures lets me know he is an OLD racist. I have NEVER heard anyone of my generation use those terms. The ONLY bright spot in my sky right now with all the "black" president hype (I thought we were supposed to be a color-blind society) is that maybe the ACLU will get off it's high horse. Because the "white" man suppresses no more. A "black" man (half-white man, who was raised by a white mom and a Thai step-dad, Ivy league school millionaire- we all identify with THAT, right?) was elected, and the excuses can stop. There is no more glass ceiling. No pun intende..."...help us work for that day..."?? No pun intended, but Rev. Lowery apparently missed the bus. What he asks for is behind us, not ahead of us. Millions of white votes elected the "brown" man for whom he is giving the inaugural benediction. Sadly, this is too typical of those as if it is still 1960, and talk as though the water fountains still have 'whites only' signs above them. I don't care about the color of my President any more than I care about the color of the person sitting next to me on the bus, or plane, or movie theater. I DO care about the political agenda of my President, and THAT is what affects my vote.

Rev. Lowery is perpetuating nonsense.

Bruce ParkerUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04044362517993178252noreply@blogger.com
