For the next eight years, Democrat presidents Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Harry Truman refused. Not until 1948 did President Truman finally comply with the Republicans' repeated demands for racial justice.
And yet, Republicans have allowed the Democrats to grab the credit for racially integrating the armed forces!

Senate District 45 Debate In Mustang
I went to the debate last night for senate district 45 Overall it was very boring. At the end, the candidates were allowed to ask each other questions and this was interesting. Kyle Loveless asked the candidates who won the Canadian County Bedlam Football Game. No one knew. Trying to show how active he has been I suppose. That was more humorous than anything. Marty remained boring, Steve asked a good question but nothing hard. Something to the effect of “What are you going to do to promote family values.” No one really answered the question.
Melinda Daugherty asked Kyle, “Why were you asked to resign as Cleveland County Chairman?” A little rough I would say. Kyle didn’t really have an answer but just said “Sometimes you make people mad, other times you don’t. I’ll let the record speak for itself.” Kind of a lame answer but okay. She also asked Steve Russell if he plans on serving his full term in office or if he merely see’s this as a step to a higher office and also if his move to the district was merely out of convenience to run. Steve responded with a thanks for the confidence that he is ready for a higher office but assured everyone he is only looking at this office. He also said how he has been a long time Cleveland county voter even while overseas and he chose to raise his family here because of his family roots.
The primary questions that were asked were predictable and boring and everyone agreed on everything.
Jerry Foshee was not there. The candidates for district 47 made a brief speech at the beginning. There is a young guy, the name escapes me, but he was very impressive.
Overall it was a boring evening up until Melinda Daugherty at the end. I think Marty presented himself as a nice guy but not a strong candidate. Melinda is just…Melinda. I think she came across very vicious at the end when she asked Kyle and Steve those questions. Kyle and Steve presented themselves as the strongest candidates. This seat with be very interesting. I personally predict a runoff between Kyle Loveless and Steve Russell.

(Norman, OK) - On Wednesday, the U.S. Supreme Court struck down laws in several states, including Oklahoma, that allow the death penalty for the crime of child rape.
The ruling drew a sharp rebuke from Oklahoma State Senator Jonathan Nichols, who in 2006 authored Oklahoma's law subjecting repeat child molesters to the death penalty.
"This is a heartless decision by the U.S. Supreme Court that guts Oklahoma’s efforts to protect children from violent predators," said Nichols, R-Norman.
Nichols was alarmed by how far the Supreme Court went in applying its decision to any and all child rape cases.
“No matter how young the child, no matter how severe the injuries, no matter how strong the evidence, including video tape and DNA, and no matter how many children were raped, the Court wrongly ruled that the death penalty is excessive punishment,” said Nichols. “Every person should read the factual circumstances that lead a jury in this case to give the death penalty.”
The facts giving rise to the Supreme Court’s decision to hold the death penalty excessive for child rape involved an eight year old girl who was found on her bed bleeding profusely. The child had sustained such violent internal tearing that the uterus was ripped from the wall and her rectum had invaded the vaginal structure.
“Not only Oklahomans, but all of America should be alarmed and awakened by these Justices’ complete disregard for our values and the Constitution’s plain and clear language,” charged Nichols. “These Supreme Court Justices have either completely subordinated children into the category of subhuman, or their morals are so vacant that all should question their competency to uphold our Constitution which is founded on justice.”

Madam speaker Nancy Pelosi wants to put a Windfall Tax on all stock market profits (including Retirement fund, 401K and Mutual Funds! Alas , it is true - all to help the 12 Million Illegal Immigrants and other unemployed Minorities!
This woman is frightening.
She quotes..." We need to work toward the goal of equalizing income, (didn't Marx say something like this), in our country and at the same time limiting the amount the rich can invest." ( I am not rich, are you)
When asked how these new tax dollars would be spent, she replied:
"We need to raise the standard of living of our poor, unemployed and minorities. For example, we have an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in our country who need our help along with millions of unemployed minorities. Stock market windfall profits taxes could go a long way to guarantee these people the st andard of living they would like to have as 'Americans'." (Read that quote again and again and let it sink in. "Lower your retirement, give it to others who have not worked as you have for it".

Speed Bumps Holy Crap!!!!!
Do the new speed bumps really work? Do they actually cost the consumers more gas? What did the City pay to have all these speed bumps installed? Did they over do it? Three or four speed pumps per block is just a little excessive, don’t you think? Who had this hair brain idea anyway? Will the drivers just go down another street and avoid the speed bumps? Why can’t we have actual police cars (not unmarked police cars) visible in the area that speed is a problem and issue tickets to speeders? Tell me what you believe the city should do? More speed bumps? Less speed bumps? No speed bumps at all? Is speeding in these areas really a problem? Let’s hear your comments.

Obama The Racist
Now I hear Obama, would like to be a modern day Robin Hood. Talking to the Wall Street Journal last week, he stated that if elected, he would take from the wealthy and give to the poor. Obama stated if elected he would weaken the position of workers that make a lot of money, he went on to say, he believes the government must intervene, to make sure some workers do not make a lot of money, Obama, wants wealth fairly distributed. It sounds to me like he is going to take from the people that have worked hard and accumulated wealth, give it to the homeless and individuals that collect welfare and to people who do not want to work. That is fair the Obama way.
